Roadtrip Recovery Margarita

Roadtrip Recovery Margarita

This recipe came from the dire need of a good drink after a very, very long road trip over the summer. We travelled a mere 4,800 miles and 3 National Parks. It was epic to say the least, but dang we were exhausted from all the driving by the time we got home. So, I whipped this cocktail up and it hit the spot. Worthy of sharing. Enjoy!

Road Trip Recovery Margarita

1 oz. Toasted coconut syrup

1 oz. orange liqueur

2 oz. pineapple juice (100% pure, no added sweeteners)

2 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice

4 ox. Blanco tequila 100% agave (I prefer a Reposado tequila myself, but Blanco is what is typically used in a Margarita)

Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice and shake for 20-30 seconds to incorporate all ingredients. The toasted coconut syrup is thick and chunky, so shake well. Pour into chilled glasses and serve with a wedge of lime or pineapple, or both!
