Bitters are considered to be the salt and pepper of the cocktail world. They have a long history and for some time were much forgotten. Recently however, they have made a return to bar carts and home bars everywhere. Adding bitters to Old Fashioned's or a Manhattan is imperitive and adds a certain something to elevate the taste of a cocktail to heights you may have never know was missing unless you tried them.
