The Ginger No-Colada was a complete experiment that turned out really delicious. We were playing around in the kitchen on a Friday night and made this little number that was, I dare say, one of the best drinks we have made thus far. We named it the No-Colada because there is indeed no rum in it, and no coconut at all! But somehow the ginger syrup gave off a coconut flavor and the use of a shaker added air to the drink which gave it a lovely, silky texture. Pineapple and fresh lime paired perfectly with the ginger and a fabulous drink was born! It's weird how it turned out, magic one might say, but interesting and damn delicious! We highly recommend this one.
Ginger No-Colada
2 oz gin (We used Tanqueray)
1 oz Ginger syrup
2 oz. organic 100% pure pineapple juice
1/2 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
Sparkling water
Add all ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake for a good 20-30 seconds. Pour into a chilled highball and top off with sparkling water. Cheers!
