Jalapeno Limeapple Soda

Jalapeno Limeapple Soda - Tipsy Cocktail Supply Co.

Looking for something to spice up your life? Sick of all the sweets after the holidays? Me too, so I wrote this recipe to satisfy my craving.

.5 oz Sirop Co. Jalapeno syrup

.5 oz. of fresh squeezed lime juice

.5 oz. 100% pure pineapple juice

2 dashes orange bitters by The Bitter Housewife

4 oz. club soda

Measure all ingredients into a tall glass, add ice, then top off with club soda and stir. Garnish with either jalapeno coins on a cocktail stick or a wedge of pineapple, lime, or all the above! Do whatever comes in to your pretty head.

If you really want to spice things up you can make this into a cocktail by using tequila, vodka or gin. If you choose tequila I recommend using a 100% pure agave blanco tequila, preferably reposado because it is aged about a year and because of this does not have as harsh of a flavor as other tequila. Instead it has a more mellow and delicate taste. In addition, I would choose a neutral gin that does not have too strong botanical notes, but rather more citrusy flavor profile. And I think a good top shelf vodka (not infused with any flavors) would work nicely.
