This recipe comes straight from the bottle of Liber & Co.'s seasonal syrup Caramelized Fig. We tried it out one evening and it did not disappoint. All the flavors of the season captured in this cocktail with a kick. Rich, decadent and slightly spiced, it was delightful. We used a High West Double Rye for the whiskey and I wasn't sure if that would work, but it did. And adding aromatic bitters topped it off nicely. Give it a try the next time you are wanting something different.
Fig Manhattan
2 oz. whiskey (We used High West Double Rye)
1/2 oz. sweet vermouth
2 dashes aromatic bitters
Unlike the recipe on the bottle I did not mix this drink in a glass, I instead combined all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shook well and strained it off into a chilled, coupe glass. I found the texture was really nice when I shook it.
Top with a cocktail cherry (not those brightly colored numbers that glow in the dark).
Cheers!
